H&M is in an Italian state of mind. Hype over the Versace collaboration is just starting to calm down yet the retailer has already named their next collaborators … MARNI
The line will include accessories, jewelry, shoes, and more for both men and women. Of course all these pieces will come in their trademark statement making bold prints! “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints,” Castiglioni says in a press statement. “As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements.”
With all the success H&M collaborations have brought to designer labels, we are sure Marni won’t disappoint. The only question is, who will be next?
Alice + Olivia designer, Stacey Bendet, recently curated a shopping list for members-only shopping site One Kings Lane, where discounts are offered for everything from food & wine, travel, and home decor. Racked NY sat down with Bendet to go over her must-have picks that made the list and some of her personal favorite spots in NYC. When asked about vintage, the designer named FROCK as one of her all time favorites! As big fans of Alice+Olivia we are honored to have made her list! Along with FROCK, Stacey named a few other places such as Jeffrey for shoes and Opening Ceremony for accessories. Click here to read about the rest of her favorites!
Whether they’re bejeweled, enameled, golden, silver, or lucite, statement making earrings are on trend for SS’2012- according to our trusted sources over at Style.com. Designers from Gucci to Marni all showcased shoulder, and semi-shoulder, dusting ear adornments in tear drop, tiered-chandelier, organic, and geometric shapes.
The upside of this spring trend is that it speaks directly to the heart of vintage design and at FROCK we are stocked and ready to supply the best archival examples of how to do a statement earring justice.
Australian fashion stylist Catherine Baba (in the center above), thought to be French by association, has constantly been photographed around Paris wearing oversized shoulder dusting tassel earrings in various neon hues. We thought they bared a striking resemblance to a pair of YSL mismatched fringe tassel earring here at FROCK!
Valentino’s delicate and simplistic linear shoulder dusters have a great counterpart at FROCK in our Yves Saint Laurent drop earrings with tear-shaped pearls wrapped in swirling gold and ending in a golden leaf.
Missoni showed very whimsical earrings with animals and different colored beading but the organic shape and shear size of the earrings struck a chord with these Joseff of Hollywood chandelier earrings- a gorgeous mix of shape, texture, and size.
These blue enamel stone and metal knockers from Oscar de la Renta are perfect for a run around town with girlfriends but a great, similar, option for a night out would be these 1960′s blue rhinestone encrusted drippy earrings.
We give this spring trend a generous 8 thumbs up- two of those thumbs borrowed from our intern! (Let us know what you think!)

The Victoria Secret Angels were looking hot in Puerto Rico yesterday, wearing LBDs and stilettos to step off their custom designed pink chopper. The girls made their grand entrance, flying in like the Angels they are, to open the new Victoria Secret store in San Juan. Erin Heatherton looked AMAZING in our strapless Ungaro mini with draped detailing across the front. Sexy yet classic, she rocked…or shall we say FROCKed the store opening!
Choosing a favorite designer here at FROCK is as difficult as getting our hands on the best one of a kind vintage pieces! There’s those few designers that make an appearance in every woman’s wardrobe, no matter what her style…the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Valentino, Halston, and more.
